Mangosteen - What's the Big Deal?
If you live in the United States, up until recently you've probably never
even heard of a mangosteen fruit much less seen or tasted one.
One of the reasons you've never seen one in your local grocery store is that
it can't be imported into the United States without being frozen first.
That's why you see the mangosteen available in juice form but you can't
actually find the fruit to try (which is actually, quite delicious, by the
way).
The mangosteen fruit has been used for nearly 1500 years in Southeast Asia
as a general remedy and healing agent. A lot of the current research has
focused on mangosteen as a cancer treatment.
However, there are a lot of benefits that people have been reported from
drinking mangosteen juice. My favorite benefit is the fact that it helps
reduce inflammation and I've also used it as an all natural (and caffeine
free) energy drink.
The important thing to remember when taking a mangosteen juice is to be sure
the rind (pericarp) has been included as that's where many of the healing
properties come from.
Here's the mangosteen juice I recommend - it's by far the best tasting on
the market. Click Here.
